This books has made me really think about the way that the media and companies report figures in order to sell to the public.

If nothing else I think everyone should read the section on 'Bad Stats' – the rest of the book is interesting but it can go on a bit, drilling the point home. However the bad stats section is to the point and really raises the issue of how the public are taken in by scaremongers, salespeople, marketing of large organisations and the media in general.
Really good book if you can wade through the depth of stats!
