Catching up with old school friends
- Connections made with this event:

Nothing like a bit of chicken soup for the soul – caught up with Sarah, Vash and Di. Haven't seen them all together for over a year.
It's funny, no matter who you meet in life, or what you're doing, there's nothing quite like catching up with the people that were with you when you grew up.
I met Sarah, Vashti and Di – my old school group. We meet up usually once a year and despite all that goes on in our life, nothing changes between us. They probably know me better than any other friends.
We chatted about the stuff we're going through now, but inevitably and nostalgically the conversation hit upon the old days and the people we used to know and all that has happened to them. I was reminded of a couple of friends that have already died, Maxine Brown (a fantastic swimmer who lived not far from me) and Stuart Harper (one of Di's school time boyfriends!). So sad and it makes you really want to cherish what you have now. It seems odd to think people who would be same age as you have already gone. Boy oh boy.
Not getting down. Just made me realise how lucky I am again.
On a lighter note, nothing much changes in the way we all relate together, still the great laughs – Sarah booked a pub for food that meant walking through a graveyard and through a field – both lit only by the moon!
Imagine the laughter of four women walking through a graveyard in the dark! We played a trick on Sarah by putting a toy guinea pig in her children's guinea pig run... you had to be there but it was funny!
A fabulous time.
