I saw this film for the first time. It helped inspire the idea behind the Odbody website.

The story behind this 1956 film is of a man who doesn't see his true worth, who doesn't realise the impact his 'ordinary' life has had on those around him. In his despair he is visited by an angel, Clarence Odbody, who shows what life would have been life for those around him had he never existed – a remarkably worst scenario.

The film just galvanized the idea that was already forming in my mind, that people don't realise what a difference they've made or the impact that they've had on the lives of others. This film coupled with the death of my Nan – a woman who had helped so many people, but whose stories are now lost to us – made me think about creating a website where you can record your life, thank people who've helped you along the way and on top of that, discover that you made a difference to the people who crossed your path.
