It's a Wonderful Life – the musical

I went with my sister, her boyfriend and my niece to see the new version of 'It's a Wonderful Life' at the New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich.
It's a Wonderful Life (the film) was an inspiration for this website, so when the theatre in Ipswich, had the first showing of the musical version we knew we had to go and see it.
The guys at the Theatre were very kind as they also ran a mention for Odbody in the programme and soon we'll have calling cards left around in the reception too.
The show was a really good depiction of the story. I wondered if you didn't know the story if it explained it well enough as it is a true musical (everything is song, hardly a drop of spoken dialogue), but my niece, Mahalia, who didn't know the story completely, followed it and really enjoyed it.
Overall it was a really good night out. The cast were great. I recognised a couple of them from previous roles on the TV, but they all did so well.
The only thing that made me laugh is that they actually changed the name of the angel - from Clarence Odbody to 'Ace' – why, god only knows! It made us laugh, especially as we're named after the angel!
I had a great time sitting with my niece – she was really good fun – I'll keep to myself the story of the white hot chocolate and the water cooler! We finished the night by going back to Miranda's and discussing the merits of advertising in the modern world...!
