Las Vegas - Jay's 40th birthday
- Connections made with this event:
- Friends that were at this event:
- Sandy Dillon
A whole load of friends and family flew to Vegas to celebrate my brothers 40th birthday. Sandy and I used it as the first stop of a USA tour
It was great to spend my brothers birthday with him and great to catch up with his friends. They are so lovely. I even got to catch up with Caroline, an old school friend I hadn't seen since about 1990!
It was the second time we'd been to Vegas, we stayed at The Paris hotel. It was lovely but things have got pretty darn expensive over there! Vegas was always a place to lose money but usually it's just on the gambling.
The total highlight of the trip for me was seeing the Cirque Du Soliel at the MGM. A couple of Jays friends, Glen and Margaret, were so kind to have bought us all tickets to see the show! Unbelievable! I always wanted to see a show at Vegas but we're on a tight budget. But Glen and Margaret were so kind. The show made my trip - it was amazing! The whole stage was phenomonal - rolling right over, tipping up and standing vertical. It has to be the best show I've ever seen.
My mum and dad flew over with us but they've gone on to Seattle with Jay and Mandie.
